Our Prices Reflect Our Healing Mission

The Spanish  Language Center is a key part of the Academia Intibucana de Comunicación's healing mission for our Earth.  Hispanics are the fastest growing population in the USA.  Today, the necessity for being able to communicate in Spanish has accelerated.  And the best place to learn Spanish is in a Spanish speaking country.  And the fastest way to learn is to combine the learning process with pleasure and fun.

Because this mission is so important to us, we want to make it possible for many people to have this cross cultural language learning experience.  Self esteem building, programs for learning stress reduction, fun and edutainment are key components not offered by other programs.  Yet we are still holding our prices to the following low rates.

We offer short term courses year round as well as special workshops and seminars

SPANISH LANGUAGE & FUN  PROGRAM PRICE LIST

Group classes consist of a maximum of 16 students to maintain a level of personal interaction. We offer private classes for those who want an even more intensive experience. Both group and private classes are given entirely in Spanish.

Schedule: Group classes are held from 1 PM to 6:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Homestay includes  private room, breakfast, dinner & laundry service

C. Instructor Training Courses

Many people want to learn fun methods of teaching Spanish so they can offer classes. Others are already teaching and want to add more fun activities to their programs. In this course you will learn how to use the Novella, the Passions of Luis as a fun way to get your students involved in learning English.

Private Classes:  US$14 per hour

Baby sitting 1 week  (mon-fri 8 AM to 1 PM US$40.00

Additional Cost of Airport Pickup and Return in San Pedro Sula or Tegucigalpa US$60

Since our courses are designed to be taken in  one week blocks, the student may attend our Spanish classes from as little as one week, to as long as desired. After completing four weeks of instruction, it will be possible for the student to continue in the program if they so desire.  The only charges that must be paid by the student will be the additional discounted weekly tuition. homestay, and the applicable book/material fee.

We Are Here To Serve Your Needs

That means that our courses are designed for busy people who may have only a short time. Or perhaps you are vacationing in Central America and want to learn some Spanish. Our courses begin every Monday morning.  And you can have private tutoring anytime including the number of hours and days you want.

Additional Activities Available

Have a little more time and want to see Honduras?  We can create 1, 2 or 3 day trips to the Caribbean coast, Pacific Coast, Copan Ruinas, the Mosquitia, etc.  We can schedule a day shopping in Tegucigalpa, trips to nature reserves, go to Spanish language movies, and of course soccer games and practices.

Payment: You must send us your registration form and a deposit of $100 U.S. to us by WESTERN UNON addressed to Dr. Carol Cross, La Esperanza, Intibuca, Honduras.  (Always email us when sending money by Western Union) Funds need to be here at least three weeks before you intend to start classes. The deposit is applicable towards tuition and nonrefundable unless prior notice of cancellation is given. The balance is due when the student begins classes and must be paid in the form of cash or traveler's checks made out to Dr. Carol Cross. At this time, we do not accept personal checks or credit cards in Honduras.

note: Starting days are on Sunday for the accommodation. Courses start next Monday

SPANISH AND FOLKLORICO MUSIC & BAILES

For groups of 4 or more people at the same Spanish  level who are interested in FOLKLORICO/ language packages, we can arrange "crash" courses in Spanish and culture (including language, dance, and music classes) followed by tours to the places of your choice. There are countless pine forest, indigenous communities,  coffee farms, agricultural and flower farms  to visit. If the group is interested in community work, we can incorporate volunteer work into their program as well.

HOMESTAYS

In La Esperanza you can find hotels as well as homestays.  To learn a language and be a true Culture Experiential Tourist,  you need to stay with a family in a homestay.  We personally are associated with all families with whom our students live.  You'll see how the people live, how they eat and they will happily help you with your Spanish.

Payment:

You must send us your registration form and a deposit of $100 U.S to our U.S address at least two weeks before you intent to start classes. The deposit must be sent by Western Union or through PayPal and is applicable towards tuition and non refundable.  At this time, we do not accept personal checks or credit cards.
